For the last 15 years Lucy has been involved in the prevention of teenage homelessness – providing hope and health to vulnerable young people. She is a founding director of the early intervention, volunteer based charity Sussex Nightstop.

Having left school at 15 Lucy launched a small sandwich delivery company – probably providing the happiest lunches in central London. Innovation, imagination, food and making people happy have always remained at the heart of her life. Five years in Michelin starred restaurants and personal nutritionist in the music business brought much joy, until the plight of dolphins in captivity in the UK meant a detour into the world of conservation – three years later and to this day there are no dolphins or whales in captivity in the UK.

Motherhood, the greatest gift of all, brought the deepest learning and although she only had one child, it opened a whole new world. She launched the first commercial fresh organic baby food and discovered a passion for helping children and young people.

As human beings our greatest desires are love and connection, they are fundamental to our wellbeing, and if we can use digital media to engage young people, to help them process grief and heal, then we are opening the doors for them to embrace life and connect
