We've learned so much from co-designing the Apart of Me platform with young people who have lost a parent. We've talked to parents who have understandably struggled to have these very difficult conversations with their children, and often feel isolated themselves, without anyone to talk to. And we've met with organisations who are keen to find new ways to reach and engage young people in need.
Now we need to bring our game into the world. We need to accelerate the development of the most requested Apart of Me features:
Tell us your stories
We're actively looking for people who are happy to share their stories of loss or bereavement, particularly if it relates to loss of a parent or sibling at a young age.
We are building a library of stories which will be available and searchable from within our app, share your story to find out more.
The Cave was one of our testers’ favourite areas in the game due to its immersive design and the sense of entering into a world within a world. In the Summer of 2017 we ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to raise the money we needed to enrich the cave. We are now working to use that money wisely, making the cave more immersive and giving our experienced users the ability to add their own audio stories.
